TLDR: He is great and I can't see myself going to anyone but him to buy or sell a house. In fact, I have already referred him to 3 other people who were buying homes and they all had great experiences with him as well! 8 years ago I found myself in need of purchasing a house. As this was our first house I had no idea where to begin this search so I found myself where most people do that need answers, Google! I found James by chance and could not be more happy with my luck of finding an agent that was personable, responsive and patient. This was right when the market was "bottomed out\" so my wife and I were having issues with all the houses being sold out from under us. We would finally (painstakingly) find a house that we would like and would hear \"there's already an offer on this property\" or we would tour a house and take 1 night to think of it (no impulse buying houses for us!) and the BAM the next morning there would be an offer on it already. Needless to say we were getting frustrated that we couldn't seem to find a house that we liked and wouldn't vanish into the \"under contract\" section overnight. James kept constant communication with us and understood our frustration, he demonstrated patience with us through this trying time that I could not be more thankful for. Eventually we found a house and he was with us every step of the way through the short sell (the name is misleading and it actually is not a \"short\" process at all!) This brings us to the present where he was my first choice in finding a Realtor to assist us with both selling that previously mentioned house and buying a new one. This time our issue was more on the selling of that house in which he was very patient with us and gave us great advice on how to get it sold faster. In conclusion, I am very happy with James both as a Realtor and as a friend. He is very upfront and trustworthy, if he says to do/not do something take it to heart. Our agent James was extremely professional and focused on our needs for a new home. We worked with other realtors in the past that we felt were more interested in getting us to buy as soon as possible. James is not like that at all. As a veteran I knew the home buying process was going to be slightly different than normal due to the VA loan process. I have been told that not many people were familiar with the process and even less actually handled veteran clients. With my agent being certified to handle VA clients and being a former veteran himself, I figured he would know the process and how to make it hassle free. The agent was very knowledgeable and would be quick in responding to any questions. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, especially veterans. read less
